Good dental habits at home, in combination with regular check-ups at our office, give your child the best chance for a healthy smile that lasts a lifetime. Our philosophy is to stop problems before they start!

Regular Dental Checkups

Over 70% of adults in the United States have some form of gum disease, but they don’t even know it. At Kids First, we want to make sure your child never becomes part of that 70%!

Prevention of common dental and orthodontic problems are key to making sure your child has a healthy and beautiful smile for the rest of their life. Our skilled team of pediatric dentists and orthodontists will work with you to help control your child’s dental health and maintain their beautiful smile.

Dental visits should be scheduled every 6 months, as this will give your child the best opportunity for good long-term dental health. Regular cleaning visits remove built up plaque, and save your family financial strain by avoiding more costly procedures later on!

Pediatric Tooth Sealants

Protective dental sealants guard your child’s back teeth by forming a barrier over the depressions and grooves of premolars and molars, keeping out bacteria and food particles that cause decay. Studies show that 88% of cavities in American school-aged children are caused by food and bacteria being caught in rear molars.

A child’s mouth is full of hidden places where bacteria can grow and thrive! Sealants help ensure the longevity of your child’s smile, and tend to have very favorable efficacy. The sealant will last for several years, but we will continue to check it during your child’s regular dental appointments. Ask about sealants or re-application at your child’s next appointment!
